New ACC Accident Claims
If you are attending Grey Street Dental following a new accident, our team will provide you with the required ACC forms to complete at your first ACC appointment.
These forms allow us to submit the necessary information to ACC and begin the claim process. Please ensure all details are completed accurately to help avoid delays in processing your claim.
Your dentist will assess the injury, discuss the recommended treatment, and explain the costs involved, including any portion that remains your responsibility.
Prior ACC Claims
If you are attending Grey Street Dental for treatment relating to an previous accident, you must provide the following information before we can process your ACC claim:
- Your ACC claim number.
- The date the accident occurred.
- The teeth involved that are covered under your ACC claim.
We are unable to submit a claim for treatment without these details. If the required ACC information is not provided, we may not be able to claim the ACC contribution, and you may be responsible for the full cost of treatment.
To avoid unexpected costs, please bring your ACC details with you to your appointment or provide them to our team before treatment begins.
What Treatment Can ACC Cover?
ACC may contribute towards dental treatment required as a direct result of an accident or injury. This may include treatment such as repairs to damaged teeth, restorations, or other necessary dental care related to the accident.
It is important to understand that ACC only applies to dental damage caused by an accident or injury. ACC does not cover treatment required due to normal wear and tear, tooth deterioration over time, or damage caused by eating or biting.
