Sarah Ward
Sarah qualified in 2005 from Otago University with her Bachelor of Dental Surgery. She had previously completed a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Physiology, also from University of Otago.
After graduation Sarah had worked in both private and public sectors of Dentistry. She joined the Palmerston North Dental Branch in 2011.
Sarah enjoys a broad range of general dental duties but her passion is especially cosmetic work, and she is working towards mastering complex rehabilitations of the mouth. She loves to help people feel good about their smiles.
In her non-dentistry role, Sarah is a busy mum to her tribe of children, supported by her wonderful husband Andy.
Fiona Spencer
Fiona is a well-known, respected and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist who has joined our team at Grey Street Dental Surgery. She has worked in Dental Hygiene in Horowhenua and Manawatu for over 26 years.
Her professional career has included a previous background and experience in Dental Therapy (Grad 1980), community dental care as the project manager and volunteer for a community dental scheme in Highbury for many years and years of experience as chairperson of the previous Manawatu Dental Hygienists Association.
Fiona’s passion is helping others with compassionate, kind, caring and excellent professional dental hygiene care and education. Fiona’s Dental Hygiene treatment is based on a practice called Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT)which she has been using successfully for years. Personally, Fiona and her husband Les have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. Family is a very important part of their lives. She loves to cook and bake, and enjoys photography, art and literature, bush walks and travelling.
